BREAKING NEWS – Samwu secretary gunned down

A week after the attempt on the life of South African Municipal Workers’ Union (Samwu) leader, Timson Tshililo in Thohoyandou, the Provincial Secretary of the same union, Ronald Mani was reportedly gunned down in the same area last night (Wednesday).
Mani was allegedly fatally wounded at Tshisahulu Village. Police are still busy with investigations.
Premier Stan Mathabatha condemned the killing in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Kenny Mathivha who statd the Premier was satisfied with the briefing from the Transport and Community Safety MEC Makoma Makhurupetje as well as Provincial Police Commissioner Nneke Ledwaba. Ledwaba established a task team to investigate the incident and personally visited the area to ensure that no stone was left unturned during investigations.
Mathabatha urged communities not to speculate and to derail Police investigations which are at the highest level.
Confirmation from Provincial Police Communications Head, Motlafela Mojapelo is awaited.
