Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Limpopo Toursim Agency (LTA) Nomasonto Ndlovu met with members of the Black Management Forum (BMF) in the province to find ways to promote and offer a sustainable and diverse tourism experience through strategic marketing at a meeting held in Thohoyandou on Friday.
The meeting also formed part of LTA’s strategy aimed at getting more international tourists to visit the province.
Ndlovu said they need the involvement of all stakeholders in order to lure international tourists to the province. “Tourism is a people’s industry and we need the involvement of everyone in order to get more people to visit the province and see what the province has to offer in terms of tourism.
We need to improve our infrastructure and transport. We need to collaborate with different stakeholders regularly in order to maintain our position in the country as the most visited province in the country on the domestic front as well,” Ndlovu said.
“All we need in line with our mandate of destination marketing is nothing else but warm bodies in beds. Our message to BMF is to encourage them not to relent on their course as an organisation seeking to develop and empower black managers within organisations from diverse managerial disciplines. We are behind your vision to being the foremost organisation in the development of managerial leadership and advancing socio-economic transformation in South Africa and beyond,” concluded Ndlovu.
Provincial Chairperson of BMF, Angy Ramaipadi said the meeting formed part of their CEO conversations programme: “We meet with different CEOs from different organisations to find out how are they doing and what business opportunities do they have for young people and our members. She said she wants to see more international tourists visiting the province and we are going to help her to achieve that goal because tourism boost the economy of the province. We believe if we have good infrastructure, transportation and accommodation we will be able to attract more investors and tourists” Ramaipadi said.
