#WFD – Classic Savoury Mince with Peas

Serve with cooked white rice.

POLOKWANE – Savory mince is one of those versatile recipes that can be accompanied by anything.

You can add spaghetti for a pasta dish, rice, a baked potato or simply have it on a roll and you’ve got a sloppy joe.

Ingredients

  1. 150g carrots, peeled and grated
  2. 400ml cold water
  3. 1 onion, finely diced
  4. 500g lean beef mince
  5. 80g frozen peas
  6. 1 x KNORR Savoury Mince Dry Cook-in-Sauce
  7. 250g white rice, cooked
  8. 1 tbsp sunflower oil

Method

  1. In a pan, brown the onion and mince in oil for 5 minutes. Add the carrots, cook for a further 3 minutes, then add the peas.
  2. Add the water, stir in the KNORR Savoury Mince Dry Cook-in-Sauce sachet contents and bring to the boil while stirring.
  3. Simmer uncovered for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve with cooked white rice.
