Traffic officers apprehend vehicle thief

Quick response by traffic officials attached to Polokwane Municipality led to the recovery of a Volkswagen Amarok and the apprehension of a suspect who allegedly stole the vehicle from a local dealership on Tuesday.

According to Polokwane Municipality’s Communications Manager Matshidiso Mothapo it is alleged that the vehicle’s details were circulated moments after it was stolen.
Traffic officers at first spotted the vehicle in Madiba Park and followed the vehicle until the suspect was cornered in Ladanna.
The suspect was reportedly handed over to Police.
At the time of going to press Polokwane Police Spokesperson Lesiba Ramoshaba had not responded to enquiries about the incident.
