POLOKWANE – Schools have officially re-opened and Wednesday, 15 Janaury saw proud parents leading their bundles of joy to their new schools.
Irfan Vankalwala from the Northern Muslim School says his mother told him to have fun at school and make new friends.
Tshepo Mamabolo from Nirvana primary school -“They said I must listen to my teachers and do my school work so I can get a job.”
Jabez Christian Academy Gr 1 Bokang Ntsoane – “I waved goodbye to my mommy and she said she’ll come and fetch me later after school. I have made many friends, so I’ll be okay.”
Summayah Osman from the Northern Muslim School- “They said to me I look beautiful in my uniform.”
Scarlet Heymane from Good Hope primary school-“My mommy said that I must have fun at school and that I am a big girl now.”
Omphile Madisha – “My mommy told me that school is very nice and I will enjoy learning new things.”
Akhona Mthethwa – “My daddy told me that I should have fun at school and learn as much as I can because I am a big boy now.”
Sammy Nkwanyaana from Good Hope Primary School says-“My family said to me that I must listen to my teacher and do what she says.”
Naledi Masoga – “My mommy told me that I must be a good girl, listen in class and have a good time. She said I must make new friends.”

Thato – “My Mom told me to be strong and be a big girl because I’m now in the big school.”
Loretta – “My parents told me that Gr 1 will make a very intelligent person because it’s the start of my whole future.”
Rhulani Khoza from PCS said that his mother told him to be on his best behavior and have fun at school. The nerves will only last for one day.”
Keitumetse Mphahlele said that her mother promised her that school would be nice and she would make many new friends.”
Alexander Matodzi from Nirvana Primary School-“My mommy says I will make new friends and have fun at school.”
Bet-Shalom Christian School Gr 1 learners, Tokollo Legodi, Cahira Davids, Ditheto Kamela and Enhle Madikoto.
Tokollo – “My mom made me something nice to fill my lunchbox and said I must enjoy school and make friends so that I have someone to sit with during beak time.”
Cahira – “I was so excited for school that I woke up very early and my Mom helped me prepare my food and school uniform. She said I must enjoy school.”
Ditheto – “My Mom said I must be a big girl and enjoy Gr 1.
Mitchell House learner, Bohlale Moyaba – “My mom told me that she will see me later when she comes to fetch me. She made me feel comfortable because I know that I’ll be at school for only a little while.”
