[TAKE NOTE] Pumping at Olifantspoort plant stopped for repairs

Residents of the city and surrounding areas are hereby notified of an urgent water supply interruption by Lepelle Northern Water (LNW).

POLOKWANE – LNW has temporarily stopped the supply of water from the Olifantspoort scheme to allow the maintenance team to repair a leak along the Specon pipeline.

Spokesperson for the Polokwane Municipality, Thipa Selala says all areas of supply will be affected, these include Ga-Chuene, Ga-Maja, Thokgwaneng, Ivydale, Polokwane and Seshego.

“The maintenance team started with the work this morning and water supply will be restored once the team is done with repairs.”

Residents are urged to use water sparingly in this period to avoid a drop in the reservoir levels.
