[WATCH] And the winners are…

Polokwane Review and various schools took on two TikTok challenges for Youth Day. Here are the winners:

POLOKWANE – To celebrate Polokwane Review’s eventual arrival to TikTok, we decided to set two different challenges to various schools in the city.

We would firstly like to thank Tom Naudé Technical High School, Taxila Secondary School, Northern Academy Independent School, Hoërskool Pietersburg, Capricorn High School, Flora Park Comprehensive High School and Mitchell House for their participation.

The winners were the school with the highest engagement score, which was calculated by adding up the amount of plays, the number of likes as well as the number of comments the specific video received.

The first challenge was dubbed the #YouthDayChallenge, where the school’s designated journalist and some learners had to show off their dance moves to a song of their choice.

Results:

  1. Hoërskool Pietersburg
  2. Taxila Secondary School
  3. Tom Naudé Technical High School
  4. Mitchell House
  5. Capricorn High School
  6. Northern Academy Independent School
  7. Flora Park Comprehensive High School

The second challenge was our #onewordyouth challenge. In this challenge, learners had to explain to us what the word ‘youth’ means to them. They had to be creative and were only allowed to use one word to answer the question.

Results:

  1. Taxila Secondary School
  2. Hoërskool Pietersburg
  3. Tom Naudé Technical High School
  4. Mitchell House
  5. Flora Park Comprehensive High School
  6. Northern Academy Independent School
  7. Capricorn High School
