POLOKWANE – In response to gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF), the Networking HIV and Aids Community of Southern Africa in partnership with officials from the Office of the Premier, Chupu Mathabatha, Social Development and the police, marched in the city’s streets last Thursday evening under the banner ‘Bring back the night’, with the idea of claiming back the safety of especially women and girls, suffering at the hands of abusers.

This, however, without a limitation to say that males do not face abuse from their gendered counterparts, Acting Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba remarked.
