Ways to stay busy this New Years Eve

Whether you're having a party/braai with friends or spending the night indoors with a good book, there's something for everyone to do this New Years Eve.

POLOKWANE – New Year’s Eve is celebrated differently across the country and around the world.

Some like to paint the town red while others would rather stay at home and celebrate the evening with family or friends.

There are others who prefer to be totally alone.

Luckily there are options for things to do whether you’re alone or with family, out in the streets or around a fire at home.

• Invite friends for a party or braai. Make it a themed party and ask everyone to bring a dish related to the theme.

• Play games related to the theme of your party. Be it a trivia game or something else, it should be fun.

• Get everyone together for fun-filled board games to entertain your family into the next year.

• Get some snacks and binge-watch your favourite movies or series.

• Read a new book or magazine.

• Browse the internet, searching for New Year’s Eve traditions from all over the year.

• Do some pub-crawling, just make sure to order an Uber-driver to get you home.

• Spend the last hours of 2023 in someone’s arms.
