Habokie has her eye on an Emerge Africa Award
Nedohe told CV that modelling is foremost a journey of self-discovery and empowerment that celebrates diversity, ambition and confidence.
LIMPOPO – Mrs South Africa 2023 semi-finalist Habokie Mapholi-Nedohe from Thohoyandou is aiming for an Emerge Africa Awards accolade.
Nedohe holds a degree in geography and environmental management from the University of the Free State and comes from a humble, loving family – born and raised in Tshifudi outside Thohoyandou, her childhood shaped her into the woman she is today.
Her parents raised her with principles and values, they taught her how to love, respect, and help those around her.
Beauty, she says, has always been her passion and she believes her life story will inspire others to see her as a role model.
“I have always been the kind of woman that makes other women want to up their game, and my passion in life is to inspire others. Words cannot express how I feel but it is a dream come true to be nominated in this category. I am hoping to win this award as my goal in life is to inspire and motivate other women because I believe that each time a woman stands up for herself, she stands up for all women. I appreciate the love and support that you are giving me,” said Nedohe.
She encourages people to continue voting so that she will take this award home.
“In this category, we have 15 nominees and of course, I do see competition since I have been nominated with other strong and multidimensional women who all deserve to win but there can only be one winner, and with no doubt, we are taking this award home.”
She told CV that modelling is foremost a journey of self-discovery and empowerment that celebrates diversity, ambition and confidence while showcasing some of the country’s most phenomenal and talented women and giving them the skills and tools needed to achieve their dreams.
“It requires a lot from me. As a married, family, and career woman, it has demanded a lot of my time, and energy and dealing with insecurities. I deal with these challenges through the support and advice from my family and friends. My goal is to inspire other women who do not embrace themselves yet, who do not believe in themselves yet.”
She said her biggest achievement was being part of the Mrs South Africa journey as a semi-finalist last year, “it helped me become the leader I have always envisioned to be, and it helped me to embrace my self-worth while inspiring others and making an impact socially”.
