Unidentified man found dead near Molapi Sports Ground in Mankweng

The Mankweng police are appealing for information after a man’s body was found in Mamadimo Park, Mankweng on Monday morning with multiple wounds.

POLOKWANE – The Mankweng police have launched a murder investigation after the body of an unknown man was discovered at Mamadimo Park on Monday morning (September 1).

According to police reports, officers received information around 07:00 about a man lying unconscious near Molapi Sports Ground.

The Limpopo police spokesperson Col Malesela Ledwaba said when officers arrived, they found a male victim, believed to be in his early 30’s, lying in the street wearing only underwear.

“The victim sustained multiple wounds to his arms and legs. Emergency medical services were called to the scene but declared him dead on arrival. The motive behind the killing is not yet known, and no arrests have been made,” he said.

Police are urging anyone with information that could help identify the deceased or lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) to contact Sergeant Paul Mokhabuki on 082 756 9781, call the Crime Stop number 08600 10111, visit their nearest police station, or use the MySAPSApp.
