Polokwane City Football Club is eager to take revenge when they come up against Chippa United in their 25th match of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) scheduled for old Peter Mokaba Stadium on 16 April.
Chippa caused a major upset when they beat City 2-1 last year September at Nelson Mandela Stadium. Club Manager Bernard Molekwa said they are adamant that they can do well against Chippa and move up in the league.
City is currently in the 13th position in the league and Molekwa stressed that it important to win the match in order move up in the league. “If you can check our position in the league we are not safe at all. We have win matches in order to finish in good position. They beat us last year and that did not sit well with us. We are in a good form now. We have been doing well in the last matches and we want maximum points from every match,” Molekwa said
He confirmed that, with the exception of Vusi Ngidi, Sibisiso Mbonani and Linda Shiba who are still nursing injuries, all the players will be up for selection.
Chippa United recently acquired the services of Sundowns defender Dan Malesela as its head coach. The team lies in 6th position of the league with 33 points after 23 matches.
