The South African Property Owners Association (Sapoa) hosted their annual golf day last Thursday which saw some eager golfers grabbing the opportunity to stand in line at the prize giving.
The competition was held in a four alliance, two scores to count format and the team consisting of Mpho Makhado, SP Mashakane, Liz Southern and Kevin Paul top scored with 108 points claiming victory for the day.
Dawie Groenewald, Tossis van der Merwe, Hendrik van der Merwe and Janneman Groenewald came second with 93 points followed by Raoul van Zyl, Riaan Piek, Brian O’Reily and Raymond Pratt in third with 91 points.
Morné Myburgh played the longest drive on the second hole while Piet van Eeden received the prize for closest to the pin on the 16th hole.
At Saturday’s Club Day Andrew Galloway took the win with 41 points followed by Richard Schullenburg and Raymond Musihake in second and third respectively. Luanie van Rooyen also received a prize for the longest putt on the 17th hole.
