Zanis gymnasts excel at Limpopo rhythmic competition

Of the 64 gymnasts from Zanis Gymnastics Academy who competed in the recent Limpopo Powerade Rhythmic Competition in Polokwane a record 52 were chosen for the Limpopo team.
A total of 98 girls from across the province participated in the event.
Head Coach and co-owner of the academy, Zani Prinsloo said they had entered in 16 sections and won 14 taking home a formidable 96 medals of which 44 were gold, 33 silver and 19 bronze.
“Four of our gymnasts were awarded Top Gymnast of the Day and all competitors received a Powerade bag, water bottle and drink,” Prinsloo said.
Section winners:
Level 1: u.6 Tara Thompson, u.7 Reatlegile Ledwaba (top level 1 junior gymnast), u.8 Celeste van Tonder, u.9 Lehlogonolo Semenya, u.10 Rebhotile Letshedi, u.11 Tumi Mulaudi, over 11 Claire Tairoodza (top level 1 senior gymnast)

Level 2: u.7 Dorothy de Lange, u.8 Kiara van Breda, u.9 Joelle Baker, u.10 Thato Moeno, u.11 Ntsnxeko Mnisi
Level 3: u.9 Mikaila Jacobs and u.10 Klara Pretorius.
Overall second places in their sections went to Janelle Malan, Nadia Grobler, Basani Msimeki, Dineo Phiri, Caelyn Anders, Lebopeng Chuene, Karabo Mashamaite, Clarissa Combrinck, Ofilwe Hlabyago, Katlego Chuene and Sarah Diederichs while overall third places were awarded to Mmatapa Mamabolo, Naledi Jantjies, Alisha Fritz, Sheldine Bouverie, Liana Pragji and Thandulwazi Mashigo.
The following competitors were chosen for the Limpopo team: Zielke Duvenage, Niela Gerson, Jone Faurie, Malesolo Kgatjepe, Bea Venter, Amy de Beer, Byanique Erwee, Gabrielle de Carvalho, Danielle Kasselman, Ameera Gani, Omphile Mahgatho, Nadia Anver Kalla, Hernice Struwig, Lianell Thompson, Dine Booyse, Jeanine van Staden, Kristi de Jager, Jana Prinsloo, Elne Haynes and Mutshidzi Malumedzha.
