Entries for the sixth annual Mooketsi Mountain Bike Challenge are now open and entrants can look forward to exciting new routes on 22 October.
“The Mooketsi MTB Challenge has become a popular event on the mountain biking calendar and this year promises to be an even better experience,” Race Organiser Clive Garrett is quoted to have said. The three new routes, 70 km, 35 km and 10 km range from challenging tracks for serious contenders to a comfortable ride for those who want to enjoy a fun day. The 70 km and 35 km races serve as qualifying rounds for Limpopo colours. A kiddies’ race is also on the programme for the day.
Online entrants will receive a goody bag and food and drinks will be sold by Tzaneen Rotary Club while other exhibitions will also be available at the starting point.
The race starts from the ZZ2 Mooketsi stores at 07:00 and race day entries will be accepted from 05:00.
Standard safety rules and procedures will apply for all entrants.
