Baroka Football Club awards players

Baroka Football Club awarded players who performed exceptionally well and helped the team to gain promotion to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) at an awards ceremony held at Ngwana Mohube Sports ground in Seleteng village, Ga-Mphahlele area on Saturday.
Bafana Bafana striker Thabiso Kutumela who recently joined Orlando Pirates won the team Top Goal Scorer Award. He scored 18 goals for the team and also won the Top Goal Scorer Award for the National First Division (NFD) at the annual PSL Awards held in Gauteng in May.
Oscarine Masuluke was named the Club Goal Keeper of the Season following his heroics in the goal post last season.
Club Captain, Olaleng Shaku who has been with the team since its inception won the Player of the Season Award.The Chairman’s Award went to young and exciting defender Theresho Mapheto.
Technical Director Oupa Kgoadi praised the players for showing commitment throughout the season and for ensuring that the team gets promoted to the PSL
“They did well for the team and they have shown commitment in every match and with the awards we wanted to thank them for their efforts and for helping the team to gain promotion to the elite league. They were amazing and we are looking forward to a new season,” Kgoadi said.
At the awards ceremony the PSL rookies announced 13 players who will be part of the team for the 2016/17 PSL season which commences in August.
The players include two goalkeepers, three defenders, seven midfielders and one striker from various lower league clubs.
Goalkeepers: Ngcobo Xolani Zakhele (Royal Eagles) and Mbangeni Innocent (Manco Milano).
Defenders: Mahashe Mzwanele (Milano United), Leitsisa Tshepiso (WitbankSpurs) and Ignitious Kgobadi (Orbit Football Club).
Midfielders: Sediti Tshepo (Orbit Football Club), Siphiwe Gwala (FC Cape Town), Soso Rethabile (Manco Milano), Tumelo Mogale (Roses United), James Bell ( Moroka Swallows),Richard Matloga (Highlands Park), Sipho Moeti ( Moroka Swallows) and Cleopas Dube (Witbank Spurs).
