Hundreds of keen runners braved a chilly winter morning to participate in the annual Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (Ledet) 3 in 1 Road Race hosted between the old and new Peter Mokaba stadiums on Saturday.
The race was contested over 21,1 km and 10 km with a 5 km fun run for amateurs and those looking for an early morning stroll.
Limpopo’s female star athlete Jane Mudau from Pietersburg Road Runners (PRR) won the 21,1 km women’s open category in a time of 1:39.04. She was also the first female master home in her category. UJ Athletics Club’s Jacob Malefo triumphed in the men’s open category over 21,1 km in a time of 1:07.55.
