Harold Ndlovu, goalkeeper for Polokwane City Football Club, has temporarily quit football to focus on his law degree.
Ndlovu (27) graduated with a BA degree in Information Studies at the University of Limpopo (UL) in 2017. The Lulekani village born goal-minder who joined the club during the 2015/16 season registered for a law degree at UL last year. “I am doing my second year and I need to focus. It is not easy juggling football and my academics. I felt I should put one on hold and focus on the other which is my law degree,”Ndlovu said.
Tincy Tema, the club’s chief operations officer, said they wished Ndlovu well in his academic endeavours. “He is not just any player. He is an academic and lot of soccer players can learn a lot from him. He told us that he wanted to focus on his studies, which is his primary objective and we could not stand on his way,” Tema said.
