Junior golfers ready to represent Lim

A team of eight u.19 golfers made it to the provincial team that will represent the province at the junior inter-provincial championships to be hosted by GolfRSA from 7 to 14 December in Western Cape.
Their selection is the result of continuous first-rate performance during various golf tournaments played throughout the year.
The team consisting of captain James Vorster from Tzaneen Country Club, Francois Janse van Rensburg from Zebula Golf Estate, Declan Brews from Kameeldoring Golf Club, Jan-Hendrik Nieuwoudt from Polokwane Golf Club, Thulani Mathebula from Hans Merensky Golf Club, Tiger Musandiwa from Soutpansberg Golf Club, Ruwan van der Watt and Jandre van Niekerk from Polokwane Golf Club received their Limpopo colours at a capping ceremony hosted by Limpopo Golf Union at the Polokwane Golf Club recently.
Team manager Jean Sadie indicated that players had to participate in local tournaments in order to be selected for the provincial team. He emphasised that he was pleased with the team and reckoned that they would bring the title home.
According to Sadie, team Limpopo finished third in last year’s inter-provincial challenge and that they were hoping to do better this year.
“Players are selected according to criteria set by Limpopo Golf Union. I am happy with the selection and I believe these players are capable to get the job done. All of them bring unique skills to the team. We are looking forward to the tournament and we plead with residents to support the boys,” Sadie explained.
