After months of not being able to play, members of Pietersburg Jukskei Club picked up their skeys again for their first practice session over the weekend.
Club member, Anton Botha indicated that they are only allowed to practice once a week.
“The clubs who applied for permission from Jukskei South Africa are allowed to practice but have to adhere to all Covid-19 regulations. Every player must complete an indemnity form and their temperatures must be measured. Approximately 20 players attended the session on Saturday,” he said.
He added that from 1 September unions will be allowed to host competitions and leagues but that discussions are still being held as most players are between 40 and 60 years old and fearful of contracting the virus.
