Cyclists spin for a good cause
Cansa's Spinathon held on Friday night at Elite Bodies Gym might be a first for Mokopane but surely won't be a last as R6 800 was raised through the six participating teams.
MOKOPANE – According to Ansie van Heerden from Cansa the event was a huge success.
“We are so surprised by all the teams who entered. The spinners had a lot of fun and a great laugh.”
Fatima Bhyat was the spinning instructor and the participants made sure to follow her lead on the beat of the vibrant music.
Spinners were spinning for three hours, making turns with the other participants in their team.
The teams who participated were: Playball Kids, Health Zone Gym, Hoërskool Piet Potgieter, Keller William Realty Mokopane, NTT Toyota Mokopane and Boltman Attorneys.
The Playball Kids team won the team spirit prize and every team member received a recipe book and sunscreen.
The NTT Toyota Mokopane team won a prize for the best participation.
Van Heerden thanked everyone who took part in the organising of the event. “We will definitely organise an event like this again.”
