‘Bull’ all set to step into the boxing ring

POLOKWANE – Muhammed Ali “Bull” Salman, a gr. 10 Taxila Secondary School learner says spectators will leave the arena impressed after his first professional fight against Tswarelo Machuene during the Limpopo Explosion Bomb boxing tournament in Thohoyandou on Saturday evening.
The tournament is presented by the Limpopo Champ Boxing Promotion in conjunction with Chiawelo Boxing Promotion.
Salman says he is ready for the fight, having spent weeks hard at training. He says he will trample over anyone who stands in his way to victory.
“I want to put Limpopo on the map and I need residents’ support,” says Salman.
Former South African featherweight champion, Sydney “Skeleton” Maluleke will clash against Prince “Ice” Ndlovu in the provincial featherweight title fight on the same evening.
Phathutshedzo Dongola, a promoter under the Limpopo Champ Boxing Promotion, says the tournament will be an eight-bout tournament, and the main fight will be between Maluleke and Ndlovu.
He says another big fight will be between Pfariso “Cobra” Neluvhalani and former South African bantamweight champion, Class “Ironman” Mboyane.
Other fights inlcude Norman “No risk” Tshisikhawe against Hamisi Guluka from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Thizwilondi “Tiger” Nempandoni against Rofhiwa Nemushungwa, Tshifhiwa “Tyma” Munyai against Maanda Moses and Nyelisani “The Rose” Thagambengwa against Koketso Kadiaka.
Tickets cost R50 and R250 for VIPs and are available from Capricorn Catering in Thohoyandou and First Stop Funeral Group in Siloam. Tickets will also be sold at the gate.
