Golfers take each other on in medal challenge

POLOKWANE – Nico Koster won first place in the Mike’s Chicken monthly medal golf challenge at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.

Koster won the A-division with 68 points, followed by Devaux van der Wath in second place with a respectable 70 nett points.

Unfortunately, Koster also got two fines for violating the two clubs rule. Other golfers who were also fined were Willie Marx, Riaan Nel, Thabo Shinange, Simphiwe Mdlalose, Raymond Pratt, Hilton Hughes, Brett Hughes, Safraz Suliman and Leo Gama.

Aart Juriaanse won the B-division with 68 nett points and Wayden Peceur won the C-division with 72 points.

Belinda Schutte won the ladies A-division with 85 nett points.

Lizz Southern won the ladies B-division with 76 points.
