Young soccer players invited to Phumelela Football Academy trials

PHUMELELA Football Academy invites young football players between the ages of 11 and 18 to attend their trials at the Westenburg sports grounds

PHUMELELA Football Academy invites young football players between the ages of 11 and 18 to attend their trials at the Westenburg sports grounds on November 1 for the 2015 intake qualifications at the academy.

According to Phumelela Football Academy director, Martin “Coach Tino” Lesudi, soccer players who dream of playing professionally are invited to these trials.

“Players are urged to bring along their full kit, original birth certificates and lunch boxes,” says Lesudi.

He says the academy focuses on football development and also provides young people with the opportunity of a quality education.

“The academy has produced professional soccer players in the past and continues to do so. We are searching for talent all over the province. We assure families that our organisation will help their children learn important life lessons and moral values,” he says.

He told Express that the players who excel at the trials will be accepted into the academy in 2015, where they will learn academic subjects, as well as all aspects of soccer.

“We want to train them up for the Premier Soccer League development teams.”
