Team spirit wins the day at tournament
A warm, friendly and energetic team spirit reigned alongside the Pepps Polokwane College sports fields as teammates cheered each other on at the Pepps winter sports tournament against Noorderland High School on Saturday.
POLOKWANE – A warm, friendly and energetic team spirit reigned alongside the Pepps Polokwane College sports fields as teammates cheered each other on at the Pepps winter sports tournament against Noorderland High School on Saturday.
A variety of clashes took place at the tournament, including boys’ and girls’ hockey, netball, soccer, chess, and even debates.
Pepps’ first soccer team won 7-2, but the second team lost 2-1 against Noorderland.
In the u/15 soccer match the two teams ended in a 2-2 draw.
Noorderland’s first netball team won 34-19 and the second team won with a final score of 29-9.
In the u/15A netball match the two teams ended in a 10-10 draw, but in the u/15B match Noorderland won 34-6.
In the u/14A netball match Pepps won 23-8, but lost the u/14B match with a score of 15-7.
Pepps’ first hockey boys’ team won 2-1 and the girls’ first team won with a final score of 3-2.
In the u/16 girls’ hockey match PEPPS lost 4-0 and the girls’ u/16C teams’ game ended in a 1-1 draw.
The chess games all ended in draws, while Pepps’ A and B teams won the debating competition.
