Teams wear soccer crown
The energetic u/13 and u/11 soccer teams of Curro Northern Academy left their opponents by the wayside on Saturday, 22 April at the Curro Regional Football Tournament in Pretoria.
POLOKWANE – It was particularly the u/13 team, under the coaching of Hendrick Mukwevho, that performed exceptionally well by winning all seven of their round robin matches to reach the final.
In the final match this u/13-side from Curro Northern Academy took on the team from Curro Meridian Rustenburg and outclassed their rivals to win by 2-1.
Mukwevho says this champion performance by his players ensured they qualify for the Curro National Tournament, which is set to take place in Pretoria during the upcoming June/July school holiday.
