Celebrity lawyer arrested after shooting

A prominent local lawyer is expected to appear in the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court this morning (Friday) after he was arrested late yesterday (Thursday) afternoon following a shooting incident at Zebediela Citrus Estate that left four people injured earlier the day.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe said the lawyer, known for defending and representing prominent personalities, was arrested at his office in Polokwane and a firearm was confiscated.
It is alleged that the suspect had a meeting with some of the employees at the company offices when conflict ensued and the suspect subsequently produced a firearm and shot four of the employees before fleeing the scene in his vehicle, according to Ngoepe.
The injured, one of them seriously injured, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment after receiving first aid from a local clinic, Ngoepe informed. This morning (Friday) he confirmed that all four were hospitalised.
