Didn’t mean to send that text? Whatsapp will soon let you delete messages

WhatsApp is testing a feature that will allow users to delete text messages within five minutes of sending.

POLOKWANE – We have all sent a Whatsapp message that was either sent to the wrong person or was just embarrassing.

But thanks to a new WhatsApp feature, the days of regretting an embarrassing message will soon be a thing of the past.

The messaging service is releasing a new ‘Delete for Everyone’ feature that will let you unsend messages.

According to WABetaInfo, a cross-platform beta tester for new WhatsApp features, the server works and will allow users to successfully recall a message they have sent.

WABetaInfo adds that if the server works, it does not mean that the feature is currently enabled.

They say the feature may be enabled soon.

This feature might come in handy as Whatsapp users are now only able to delete a message from the device it was sent from and not the device it was sent to.

WhatsApp will first enable and roll the feature out to beta users before it becomes a fully-fledged feature.
