Exco plan of action highlighted by budget lekgotla

The aim of the lekgotla was to deliberate on issues relating to the performance of these entities and, as the Premier, Stanley Mathabatha, said: “At the core of this exercise, it is to determine what is to be done.”

POLOKWANE – Provincial government recently held a provincial budget lekgotla, an assembly of all provincial government departments, municipalities and provincial entities.

The aim of the lekgotla was to deliberate on issues relating to the performance of these entities and, as the Premier, Stanley Mathabatha, said: “At the core of this exercise, it is to determine what is to be done.”

He said this lekgotla provided government with an important opportunity to prioritise key interventions required towards the overall achievement of the Limpopo Development Plan (LDP) strategic objectives.

The Executive Council (Exco) recently adopted the LDP mid-term report which indicated we should focus on the key catalytic projects to advance radical socio-economic transformation for the remainder of the current term of administration,” he said, stressing that all there is to be done will have to be done be in a weakening economic climate.
