POLOKWANE –  South Africa experienced a proud moment when Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters walked away as the winner of Miss Universe.

Young girls dream of becoming Miss South Africa and with stars in their eyes, a lot of woman, young and old, enter modelling pageants in order to walk away with the crown.

Not everyone knows that being crowned Miss South Africa, or Miss Universe, entails that you have to do charity work and give back to your community.

In Polokwane, woman also have the opportunity to become part of organisations like these. One of them is the Mrs Polokwane competition that takes place every year.

In 2017, Janine Kruger walked away as Mrs Polokwane 2018.

“Contestants will need the full support of their husbands,” says Janine.
