Hoërskool Roodepoort goes down to Soweto in Apcan clash

On Saturday, 31 August. Hoërskool Roodepoort played against Soweto Rugby Schools in one of the Apcan School Rugby series matches on Hoërskool Florida’s sports fields.

The speedy fullback from the Soweto side proved to be a thorn in Hoërskool Roodepoort’s defence as he once again broke the line to score a beautiful individual try.
Hoërskool Roodepoort regrouped and fought their way back into the game and were awarded a try that came as a result of their play-making flyhalf.
Soweto proved to be too strong for the Roodepoort outfit, however, as they scored another two tries in the second half and put the game out of reach.
Roodepoort kept fighting to stay in the game but the passing of the opposition’s backs was too quick and effective.
The last try of the match was scored by Soweto and secured their victory over the Roodepoort side, making the final score 29–7 in favour of the visitors.
