The Roux brothers, Jean-Claude (JC) and Jean-Pierre (JP), have secured their spots to compete in the prestigious Trampoline Senior World Championships and World Age Group Championships, set to take place in Pamplona, Spain, in November.

The talented duo will participate in the Double Mini Trampoline category, where they were among the top three selected globally.

Their mother, Luitha, will accompany them as their team manager. In an interview with the Roodepoort Record, the brothers expressed immense pride in representing South Africa, a dream they’ve shared for years. For JC, this marks his second appearance at the World Championships, while JP is set to make his debut.

JP shared his excitement, saying, “I feel very accomplished and happy to have been selected. I’ve been working towards this goal since I was 12.” JC added, “I’m looking forward to improving my ranking from last time, when I placed 28th out of 104 competitors.”

However, the brothers need support to make their journey to Spain possible. They’ve launched a fundraising campaign, aiming to raise R200 000 to cover their expenses.

Luitha voiced her pride, saying, “They both deserve this opportunity, and I’m thrilled to see them chase their dreams.”
