24Seven gymnasts impress at international competition

Nicole du Toit and Dylan la Grange participated in the Region 5 annual Gymnastics competition in Namibia.

Two gymnasts from the 24Seven Gymnastics and Trampoline team brought home impressive results from the annual Region 5 competition, held in Windhoek early December.

The event drew top gymnasts from eight southern African countries, including SA, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, and Mozambique

Nicole du Toit and Dylan la Grange were part of Team South Africa, and they participated in categories like Double Mini-Trampoline (DMT), Euro Trampoline and Synchro.

Luitha Roux, the head coach, was also the official Euro Trampoline coach for South Africa.

Dylan took home a bronze medal in DMT and was part of the South African team that secured silver in the same discipline. He also claimed a silver medal in the male euro trampoline event.

Nicole won a bronze medal in the Euro trampoline event and was part of the gold-medal-winning South African women’s team in the Euro team event. She also contributed to the team’s gold medal win in the women’s DMT event.

Additionally, she took home gold in the women’s synchro event, and alongside Dylan, they secured a silver medal in the mixed synchro event.

“Team 24Seven was absolutely fantastic. They were on the podium in every event they competed in. This was no easy task as there were sometimes up to 12 gymnasts competing in the group,” said Luitha, beaming with pride.
