Crawford athletes excel at championships

The athletes now look forward to the national championships, where they will continue showcasing their skills and talents.

Learners from Crawford International Ruimsig made their school proud at the Roodepoort Athletics Championships, held on February 16, at the Ruimsig Athletics Stadium.

Sixteen athletes represented the school and competed against learners from 28 schools in the region. The competition was tough, with only the top two athletes in each event qualifying for the D12 Championships. In javelin and long-distance events, three athletes were allowed to qualify.

Leano Masilo had an excellent day on the track. He finished first in the 60m race and also took first place in the 80m. His performances showed great speed and focus.
