Panorama Primary School athletes prepare for the upcoming Gauteng Champ of Champs competition.
Panorama Primary School learners are lacing up their running shoes and sharpening their competitive edge as they prepare to represent their district at the upcoming Gauteng “Champ of Champs” athletics showdown.
The prestigious provincial event will see top-performing young athletes from across Gauteng go head-to-head after qualifying through their respective district meets. For Panorama’s athletes, the competition marks both a reward for months of hard work and a chance to test themselves against the very best in the province.

The “Champ of Champs” competition, hosted under the banner of Gauteng Department of Education school sport, brings together standout performers in track and field disciplines ranging from sprints and middle-distance races to long jump, high jump and shot put. Only learners who secured top positions at the district level earn the right to compete.
According to the school deputy principal, Lenandi Pulella, the school is proud of the learners’ dedication and discipline. Learners have trained consistently before and after school. They’ve balanced their academics with sport, and now they have an opportunity to showcase their talent on a provincial stage.

“The athletes showed great determination and growth as they progressed through each level of competition. Their achievement is a proud moment for the school and a reflection of hard work, preparation, and strong support from parents and the school community,” said Panorama Primary School athletics coach, Thami Nzama.
The Gauteng “Champ of Champs” event is widely regarded as a platform for identifying emerging talent, with some former participants going on to represent their province at national-level school competitions.
