On Friday morning April 28,  at 05h35 Netcare 911 paramedics with three ambulances a response vehicle and their rescue unit responded to a collision along Fifth Avenue in Bezuidenhout Valley, Johannesburg. Reports from the scene indicate that a one-ton truck with three people in the front and four on the back veered off the roadway and collided with a tree. Exact detail to the cause of the crash is still speculative and will form part of the police investigation.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and after the injured were examined, they found that six people sustained serious injuries while one escaped with only minor injuries. The injured were treated at the scene before medics transported them to various hospitals for the care that they required. (Chris Botha – Media Liaison Officer – Netcare 911).
