ELM Mayor and Gauteng MEC’s  assess Covid-19 compliance

SEDIBENG. – Gauteng MEC for Community Safety, Faith Mazibuko and acting Social Development MEC Panyaza Lesufi, together with Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Executive Mayor, Reverend Gift Moerane were once again in Sedibeng Shopping Centres today, May 27, monitoring and assessing compliance to COVID-19 lockdown regulations.

They visited Palm Springs Mall, Cambridge Shopping Centre and Evaton Mall.

A shop was closed and a Bangladeshi national owner detained for failing to produce the temporary trading permit as well as the asylum documents/passport at Cambridge Shopping Center, Evaton. While waste meat found stored in a cold room, expired goods, lack of sanitizers, isolation room and thermometers were some of the non-compliance issues discovered.
