Three small business people running businesses opposite the main gate of Cambridge Shopping Centre, said that to wait for the local government, and or ,big companies to repair roads will take decades.
“We don’t have funds but we would like to make business in a conducive environment.”
Themba Mbengashe, Mzwandile Tolbad and Ben Rankadi said that the potholes are headache to the motorists.
“The ziz- zag of motorists and pedestrians ends up with drivers fighting for the better side of the road.
To make matters worse, both drivers find themselves facing the oncoming cars. There’s no co-operation,” said Mbengashe. Speaking to Ster, the vendors said that their wish is to see the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) or business people in the shopping complex come on board to assist them with quality material as, because of lack of funds, they use simple materials.
