EVATON.- The Evaton Police Station was recently placed under the leadership of Acting Station Commander, Colonel Mammone Mofokeng.
Mofokeng has a rich history with the South African Police Services (SAPS) as she joined the SAPS in 1989.

She started working at Kroonstad Police Station in Free State until 1992 when she moved to the Vaal area and began working at Sebokeng Police Station as a Constable. Evaton SAPS Spokesperson Constable Thulisile Msibi said, “Colonel Mofokeng worked through all her ranks, in 2005 she was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and went to go work at Vanderbijlpark as a Vispol Commander.

In 2013 she moved from Vanderbijlpark to Sebokeng Police station as a relief commander for different reliefs. In 2015 she then again moved from shifts to Vispol Commander.”
In 2016 Mofokeng was promoted and became Colonel at Sebokeng Police station. Msibi said that Mofokeng is looking forward in reducing crime in Evaton and working together with the Community.
