No this is cheating, it can’t be correct!

Something must be done...quickly!

SEDIBENG.- This can’t be correct, that a lowly placed team beats a team that is fifth position on the log.

How so?

This is what happened when Perfect Academy beating Real Barcelona 12-0 in the Safa Sedibeng SAB League match recently. For starters, Perfect Academy is second on the Stream B log with a game in hand with Real Hearts FC on top of the log. Now listen to this, Real Hearts FC played 20 games and have accumulated 54 points while Perfect Academy is second on the log with 51 points with one game in hand.

If Perfect win their game in hand they will be equal on a number of points with Real Hearts Fc at the top and this means the goal difference will decide the winner in this stream. So is this a coincidence that Perfect Academy won the game with that heavy score, or they were simply the best on the day? When I saw this score TOUCHLINE immediately picked up the phone and called the Safa Sedibeng Regional League Coordinator, Mandla Dipanyekga to make sure if this was the correct results. Indeed, he confirmed to TOUCHLINE this were the results his office received. TOUCHLINE was not there but this can’t be and Safa Sedibeng must investigate. I was told it was just a walk in the park for Perfect Academy. There is no way Real Barcelona can lose with such a heavy score because at one stage the club was third on the log and now, they are fifth on the log, nogal.

TOUCHLINE thought that this only happens in the ABC Motsepe League, but I was wrong, it happened right here in our own region. TOUCHLINE would understand if Real Barcelona FC was at the bottom of the log but fifth position on the log and you lost 12-0.

Please!

If Safa Sedibeng doesn’t do anything about this, I’m afraid come the end of the season the league will be decided in the boardroom. This is cheating and we can’t allow this to happen in our football. If it is found that there was match fixing, those who are involved must  be banned from our football. As a region we are better than this and there is no way we are going to allow our football to be destroyed by certain individuals who are ambitious.

If Safa Sedibeng allows this to happen, come next season the same thing is going to happen with people fixing matches to win the league. The game of football must won and lost in the field of play not in this manner. Matter of fact, even a Super League team won’t lose with that heavy score, never. Super League teams have been playing friendly matches against SAB League teams, but they never beat them with such a score. SAFA Sedibeng must order this game to be replayed or else we are about to experience another heavy score come the weekened. Safa Sedibeng must put a stop to all these nonsenses right now before something terrible happenes in our football.

We should never go back to those days when our football used to be ruled by guns and knives. TOUCHLINE appeals to Safa Sedibeng to act very quickly especially with three and four games left to avoid this to happen again!
