Crime fighting operations carried out in Midvaal

The Chairperson for the Community Policing Forum (CPF) in Midvaal, Rudolph de Wet thanked the Meyerton SAPS for the initiative adding that it was already showing great results.

Midvaal. – The Meyerton SAPS recently partnered with various stakeholders in efforts to squeeze the space for criminals through various operations.

Forces such as the Midvaal Intervention team, Beast Security, Redops, and the Crime Prevention warden (CPW) were hard at work ensuring that law and order were maintained through out Midvaal.

Police spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda reports: “The first installment of the operation was carried out on Friday 27 October, with the second one being on Saturday 28 October.
During these operations, the team managed to arrest one suspect after discovering break-in equipment and drugs.

“The operation continued on Monday morning. During this operation, A suspect was arrested after police seized ammunition from him. On further investigation, the suspect was found to be a person of interest in an armed robbery that took place in the Midvaal Area.”
