Flair Feet Stars FC dominates three-team tournament

Coach John revealed that in July the team will participate in the RCDE Champions Cup, an international event that will take place in Fourways High School, Johannesburg, and the IberCup 2025.

SASOLBURG – Flair Feet Stars FC achieved victory in a three-team tournament organised by Future Stars Academy. The event took place at AJ Jacobs Primary School in Sasolburg. The Vanderbijlpark-based soccer team secured gold in all divisions, with the U7/8, U10, U12, and U14 teams all finishing in first place.

Flair Feet Stars captain, Micheal Ferreira expressed his team’s satisfaction with the recent win, highlighting their enthusiasm and collective effort. He stated that the victory was a significant achievement for the squad, and they were eager to build on this momentum in their upcoming matches.

“The boys played with incredible spirit and determination,” Ferreira said during the post-match interview. “It’s always great to see our hard work pay off, and this win is a testament to our commitment and teamwork. We’ve been putting in the hours during training, and it’s rewarding to see that translate into performance on the field.”

Coach Nnamndi John expressed pride in the boys’ performance.

“What an outstanding performance. As the saying goes, ‘Football doesn’t lie.’ Their teamwork and trust in one another were truly inspiring. The confidence they displayed on the ball was unmatched, and their off-the-ball movement, particularly the second-man runs, was brilliant,” he stated.

John emphasised that early involvement in soccer is crucial.

“Players who start young are more likely to build a solid foundation in the fundamentals, which can lead to greater success as they progress through the ranks. I believe a nurturing environment and access to proper coaching are vital for developing young soccer talents,” he said.

He encouraged parents to support their children by getting involved in local clubs and leagues, noting that exposure to different coaching styles and levels of competition helps young players grow.
