Zamdela SAPS seek public assistance in tracing murder suspects

Police are on a manhunt for three armed suspects after a 46-year-old man was brutally murdered in his home following a late-night attack.

ZAMDELA – Detectives from the Zamdela policing precinct are appealing for the public’s help to find three men involved in a murder early on March 19.

At around 2:00, police were called to a home in the Harry Gwala area. Inside, they found Nkgashe Godfrey Ramolotsi (46), who had been shot several times. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Josephine Rani explained that Ramolotsi and his wife were asleep when they heard someone knocking on their bedroom window.

The intruders called the victim by his name and asked for help before forcing their way into the house. A struggle broke out, and several shots were fired.

According to Rani, the suspects are described as three Sotho-speaking males wearing bucket hats and balaclavas.

“One suspect is described as tall and slender, while another is shorter in height. The suspects fled the scene after the incident and remain at large,” she said.

Zamdela detectives have since urged anyone with information that may assist in identifying or locating the suspects to contact Detective Sergeant Diamond Khambule on 082 059 3459, or the SAPS Crime Stop number on 08600 10111. Alternatively, submit an anonymous tip-off via the MySAPS App.
