Man’s body found at Sebokeng Waterworks

"Officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of a body seen in the sewer."

SEBOKENG.– The Sebokeng police are investigating a case of murder after the body of a man was discovered floating in a sewer drainage system at the Sebokeng Waterworks on the morning of Saturday.

Sebokeng SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane, said that officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of a body seen in the sewer, and upon arrival, they found the lifeless body of a man, estimated to be in his late forties, floating face-down in the sewer system.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) declared the man dead at the scene.

“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact Sebokeng SAPS anonymously on 082 498 9563, 112, 08600 10111, 10111, or via the MySAPS app,” Mokhachane pleaded.
