Teen Talk Session 2

Every teen had the chance to be heard and feel supported.

VEREENIGING.- Tshehetso Counselling and Life Coaching, a non-profit organisation (NPO), hosted a Teen Talk Session 2 at Riviera on Vaal Resort on Saturday.
This informative session was to empower teenagers on how to navigate emotions.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Mosele Maloka and Palesa Letsatsi from Tumang Collection, who organised the exciting initiative, hailed this session as a great success. The young, energetic Relebohile Mosieleng was the programme director, and her enthusiasm kept those in attendance on the edge of their seats. Young people came in numbers and went home inspired.

Maloka told Sedibeng Ster that this was the first event of its kind to be held in Sedibeng for young people, specifically teenagers. Maloka said this gathering gave teens a safe and empowering platform to unpack real-life struggles and obtain emotional tools for growth. Kamohelo Maloka, opened the session with a powerful motivation about mental health issues, depression and anxiety when he highlighted the importance of emotional awareness, especially speaking up.

These are some of the things that these teenagers will treasure for a long time.

Letsatsi emphasised how to navigate emotions as a teenager and offered practical tools for managing moods, peer pressure, and identity changes. The main speaker of the day was a well-known actress, Gaisang Noge, who delivered a keynote speech on authenticity and self-confidence, how to embrace “who you are.”

She reminded everyone that their uniqueness is their power.

The event saw a hive of activities, including interactive activities and emotional intelligence exercises. Every teen had the chance to be heard and feel supported.

Overall, it was a fun-filled day.

“This Teen Talk Session 2 was more than just an event, it was a movement for youth empowerment, healing, and emotional resilience. I want to thank everyone who made this event a great success, especially our guest speakers for their motivational speaking. I do not doubt that these teens went home inspired and motivated,” Maloka concluded.
