Community Safety Forum held
The purpose of the session was to induct members of the newly established Community Safety Forum.
SEDIBENG.- The Gauteng Department of Community Safety Southern Corridor today hosted a Community Safety Forum (CSF) Workshop in Midvaal last week. This was with stakeholders from the South African Local Government Association (SALGA), SAPS, Sedibeng District Municipality, Community Policing Forum (CPF), Department of Education, Department of Health, Kopano ke Matla Organization, and Ward Councillors.

The purpose of the session was to induct members of the newly established Community Safety Forum, following a council resolution passed to formalise the CSF structure. The induction focused on CSF policy directives, the roles and responsibilities of forum members, and the importance of multi-sectoral collaboration.

The workshop also emphasised the coordinating role of the Department of Community Safety in strengthening the CSF structure within the Southern Corridor and ensuring alignment across all involved stakeholders.
