Cops probe fatal stabbing in Meyerton

A murder investigation is underway after police discovered the body of an unidentified man near the corner of Gourley and Station Road in Meyerton Farms on Friday morning.

According to information provided by Meyerton police, officers were dispatched to the scene at around 06:30 on 11 July. They found the body of a black African male lying next to a house near the intersection. The victim had sustained a stab wound to the side of his left eye.

Detectives from Meyerton Police Station and members of the Local Criminal Record Centre, attended the scene to gather evidence. However, the identity of the deceased and the circumstances leading to his death remain unknown at this stage.

No suspects have been arrested, and the motive behind the attack has not yet been established. Police are appealing to anyone who might have information that could help identify the victim or assist in tracking down the suspect or suspects.
