SEBOKENG.- Vaal Eagles Netball Club players shone at the recent Rhino Week Netball Tournament held at Hoërskool Transvalia in Vanderbijlpark.
The trio, that produced a five-star performance is Nandile Mpinda, Jabulile Tshabalala, and Rethabile Photsane.
Photsane scooped the Player of the Match Awards in all five games she played throughout the tournament, and she was also named the best senior shooter for the Rhino Week Netball Tournament.
Her performance ensured her a spot in the top 40 squad that will tour Thailand where she was selected alongside Mpinda. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, these three youngsters said playing at the Rhino Week Netball Tournament was a dream come true. Sedibeng Netball Federation president, Fakazile Nkitseng, was over the moon seeing the local girls doing exceptionally well competing at the respective netball competitions.
“I have no words, these girls made us proud, and we say to them, ‘you go, girls.’ This is your moment, and you deserve all the accolades,” she said.
