Awareness campaign in Evaton

"The campaign is part of ongoing efforts to build trust and strengthen partnerships between SAPS and the local community.”

EVATON.- The Evaton SAPS, in collaboration with community stakeholders and local structures, conducted a door-to-door awareness campaign in Evaton West Ext11 on October 3.

According to police spokesperson Constable Thulisile Msibi, the campaign aimed to increase community awareness about different issues such as gender‑based violence, domestic abuse, substance abuse, crime prevention, and household safety. Police officers and community patrollers engaged directly with residents through consultative dialogue, allowing them to ask questions and raise local concerns.

“We also encouraged the reporting of crimes, especially in areas where under‑reporting is prevalent. The campaign is part of ongoing efforts to build trust and strengthen partnerships between SAPS and the local community,” said Msibi.
