ActionSA wishes Class of 2025 the best for their matric final examinations

"You carry the hopes and dreams of a nation that is crying out for change, for justice, and for opportunity. As you sit for each paper, remember that you are not alone."

SEDIBENG.- ActionSA Gauteng has extended its warmest wishes and encouragement to every learner writing their final papers across Gauteng, starting this week.

Through Funzi Ngobeni, ActionSA’s Gauteng Provincial Legislature Caucus Leader, the party said that this moment is a culmination of 12 years of hard work, discipline, and perseverance.

“It represents your courage to dream and your determination to achieve. You have overcome challenges, from the disruptions in our education system to personal hardships, and you have shown what it means to be resilient.”

Ngobeni said that education remains one of the most powerful tools to change lives as it is the foundation upon which dreams are built and futures are secured.

“It gives young people the power to rise above their circumstances and to create opportunities not just for themselves, but for their families and their communities,” he said.

On the other hand, Ngobeni said that the community must (also) confront the difficult reality that in Gauteng — the economic heart of South Africa — the unemployment rate stands at around 47%, with youth unemployment even higher.

“This is a crisis that cannot be ignored. It is deeply unjust that so many bright young people, full of potential, complete their schooling only to find themselves locked out of the economy. We must close the gap between education and employment while ensuring that our schools and colleges produce graduates ready to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world, a world that rewards creativity, critical thinking, and technical skill.”

According to Ngobeni, the government must be held accountable for ensuring that the promise of education is matched by real opportunity.

“To the Class of 2025, as ActionSA would like to say that, your future is not determined by where you come from, but by your determination to succeed. You are the generation that will redefine Gauteng and South Africa. You carry the hopes and dreams of a nation that is crying out for change, for justice, and for opportunity. As you sit for each paper, remember that you are not alone. Your teachers, your families, and your communities stand behind you. Your hard work has already brought you this far, and it will carry you through to success. Approach each exam with calm confidence, knowing that you have what it takes to rise above any challenge.”

Ngobeni finally paid a special tribute to all staff, principals, teachers, parents, and guardians.

“You have sacrificed so much to ensure that these young people reach this point — your patience, love, and commitment do not go unnoticed. You are the true unsung heroes of our education system. You embody the spirit of service and hope that we need more of in this country.”
